    Tech Talk: SCAVenger OPtimization
The main goal of the SCAVOP project is to develop a simulation model able to describe the absorption-reaction process in gas-phase scavenging and to predict the process outcome depending on the operating conditions (e.g., gas pressure and temperature, amount of scavenger injected, residence time of the scavenger in the pipes, etc.). The model that has been developed so far is based on novel experimental data of the kinetics of the reaction between H2S and MEA-triazine, which were acquired at Aalborg University by means of a novel method based on Raman Spectroscopy. The learnings of the project are translated into recommendations to industry operators on how to improve the scavenging processes.
