Babcock &Wilcox completes acquisition of service provider VODA A/S

Babcock &Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of VODA A/S, a leading multi-brand supplier of spare parts and service for energy plants in Scandinavia.

The new business, which will consist of VODA A/S and B&W, will be part of the company’s Renewable segment. Together, the two companies will lay the foundation for growth in renewable energy in Europe.

Christopher Nysted Sørensen, former CEO of VODA, will be responsible for integrating the VODA team with B&W Renewable’s service activities and growing the business.

B&W Renewable offers cost-effective technologies for producing sustainable electricity and heat for a wide range of industries, including waste energy, biomass and   biofuels,hydrogen, pulp and solar energy. The company’s service business provides forging services, engineering services, spare parts and audit management and support regardless of original supplier.
