ELBE EUROCLUSTER

Challenge
Many European SMEs holds an unsolved potential in the engagement in the European renewable energy industrial ecosystem – a potential that can boost Europe’s and the global green and digital transformation.

Solution
The ELBE EUROCLUSTER is a European Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Joint Cluster Initiative, that will intensify collaboration across seven key EU regions in this field. The partnership, which is built on the existing ELBE Alliance, is expected to have a significant impact in the ORE value chain, both in terms of increasing the resiliency of the sector and of accelerating its green and digital transition, as it would be the first European entity to have this level of reach to SMEs in this field.

  • In the short term, the project will have a significant impact in terms of over 103 SMEs being supported by the different calls that will be organized.
  • In the medium term, ELBE EUROCLUSTER aims to strengthen and enlarge the strategic collaboration among the seven partners of the consortium, which are expected to continue the services related to the five objectives of this call: Network, Innovate, Adopt, Train and Go International. This aspiration is backed by the 4 years of collaboration of the ELBE Alliance in internationalisation activities.
  • In the long term, ELBE EUROCLUSTER intends to become a new key stakeholder in the European ORE landscape, that will create and reinforce vital collaboration networks at EU-level with a view to improve the resilience of the European ORE industrial ecosystem and boost its green and digital transformation.
