WISE Offshore

The overall purpose of the WISE Offshore project is to increase the level of key competencies required in the Offshore Wind Industry (OWI).

Project description

The wind sector is constantly evolving and changing, and so are the competency requirements for those who drive wind energy forward. Wise Offshore therefore strives to increase the level of competence in commercialization, management, innovation and creativity as well as globalization and sustainability.

The project meets the needs of the wind industry by having developed and implemented a learning development-oriented curriculum that better meets the learning needs of OWI professionals and students.

Effect

As a result of the project, the wind sector’s very own academic management education, Offshore Wind Energy MBA, has just been accredited at an international level.

The Offshore Wind Energy MBA is based on the industry’s specific challenges and needs, and adds insight and knowledge at the academic level. The education is based on innovative teaching methods, where teachers from both the academic world and the offshore wind industry handle the teaching. This ensures that participants can apply the latest scientific findings in a particularly practice-oriented way.

The MBA not only ensures a qualification of individual employees’ competencies, but must be seen as an important step in securing and expanding the strength position we have on wind energy in the North Sea region.
