Startups get a helping hand into the energy sector

30. June 2022

The Beyond Beta program lifts start-ups to growth in the energy sector. New application round with deadline after the summer holidays for innovative startups.

The green energy transformation calls for innovative ideas and new technological solutions, and many of them are found in small startups and innovative entrepreneurs.

Now they can get help to enter the energy sector’s value chain with Beyond Beta Energy – a growth course for innovative companies that have the potential for development and growth in the energy sector.

And it makes a difference, says Christian Neerus Grant, CTO of Waves2Power, who has received a major boost through the incubator process:

“We’ve got an advisory board with industry professionals who really understand the industry. They have given us an insight we lacked, and we have become much sharper at presenting the value of our solutions,” he says.

The Beyond Beta Energy program, which is an energy incubator on behalf of Energy Cluster Denmark under the Beyond Beta program, has opened for new applications until August 15, and the start-up of newcompanies is expected as early as September.

“Anyone can participate – from an idea to an established startup. You don’t need a CVR number – just a CPR number and a really good idea,” says Søren Røn, CEO of Next Step Challenge, which facilitates the incubator under Energy Cluster Denmark.

The courses, which run until January 2023, will consist of 3 workshops:

1: What is my value creation in the energy sector – and where does my startup fit into the value chain?

2: How do I sell my product / service in the energy sector – and how do my customers want to buy and have it delivered?

3: How do I make the best presentation of my product/service?

“In addition to the three workshops, there is ongoing sparring with experienced business developers from Next Step Challenge as well as an individually composed Advisory Board with strong profiles from the sector. In addition, the participants can draw on an extensive network within both customers and sparring partners as part of the process,” says Søren Røn.

Participation in Beyond Beta is free. However, the startup must register its own hours spent on the project in Beyond Beta’s platform.

FACTS:
