CCS in Denmark: Norwegian perspectives and solutions

19. november 2020 – 10:00 – 12:30

Following the launch of the Danish governmentu2019s climate action plan, carbon capture and storage (CCS) has gone from being a minor player to becoming a focus area for Denmark and their ambitions for major emission reductions in 2030 and towards 2050.

On this occasion, the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen wishes to conduct a digital webinar on Thursday 19 November 2020, where Norwegian actors can meet relevant counterparties in Denmark. The event aims to give an introduction into what the Norwegian government and Norwegian companies are doing with regards to developing technology and solutions for CCS, as well as some insight into what the Danish government plans are. Finally we will also have participation from a few selected companies in Denmark which are looking at CCS as a viable solution to reduce their emissions.

Amongst the participants, you will find Gassnova, Northern Lights (Equinor, Shell and Total), Aker Carbon Capture, Compact Carbon Capture, Endrava, Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, Aalborg Portland and Amager Resource Centre. A complete program will be available to the participants well in advance of the webinar.
