P2X in relation to Energy Islands

10. december 2020 – 14:00 – 15:00 ONLINE

With the plan recently approved by the Danish Parliament, Energy Islands will become a reality, with a total installed capacity of 5 GW of offshore wind power. 3 GW in the North Sea, and 2 GW in the Baltic Sea. Considering this future massive production of electricity, the conversion of the latter into other energy carriers, power-to-x (P2X), will play a key role in efficiently integrating the Energy Islands within the Danish energy system.

In the webinar, the White Paper u201cOptimal Placement of P2X Facility in Conjunction with Bornholm Energy Island – Preliminary Overview for an Immediate Decarbonisation of Maritime Transportu201d will be presented, giving you an introduction to the opportunities and the barriers of placing P2X technologies in conjunction with the Energy Island that will be located around Bornholm.
