The process of detecting, categorising, repairing, and performing quality inspections for corrosion, despite being regulated by law, is an inefficient and costly process that is difficult to document. Combined with the fact that the industry both demands and expects new solutions for digitally and intelligently managing corrosion, this sets the stage for the Automatic Corrosion Management project.
The general vision for this project is to become the new industry standard for corrosion management. The introductory phase will consist of digitalising the process of corrosion management from corrosion inspection to repair, including quality control inspections.
The main deliverable for this project is the creation of a new tool for detecting and predicting corrosion in offshore structures.
